Message From The Madison County Health Department

May 25, 2022

Dear School Superintendent,

As the school year winds down, I know that school officials are already busy planning for the upcoming school year.  COVID-19 has changed many things, but the important role routine examinations and vaccinations play in keeping children healthy remains unchanged.

Unfortunately, many children have missed routine healthcare visits and childhood vaccinations during the past few years.  Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommend children catch up on routine childhood vaccinations following disruptions from the pandemic.

I would like to offer a reminder that Madison County Health Department offers clinic services such as school and sports physicals and routine immunizations for children regardless of insurance coverage.  I have included a flyer outlining our clinic services as well as flyers specific to school physicals and immunizations.

Please feel free to share this information with your students and parents as you see fit.  Thank you for your continued partnership in keeping our residents healthy.

Sincerely,

Toni M. Corona, B.S., L.E.H.P. Director Public Health
