Flu Season ApproachingHealth Notice: Reminder to Parents

Cold and flu season is upon us.  To help prevent the spread of infections to our students and staff:

1.  Please do not send your child to school if you suspect they are sick.

2.  If your child has a FEVER of 100.0 and over, they should remain at home.  They can return to school when they are fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medication, such as ibuprofen or acetaminophen.  These medications mask a fever and students are still contagious during this time.

3.  If your child is diagnosed with a strep infection, they must be on antibiotic therapy for at least 24 hours AND be fever free. (without ibuprofen/acetaminophen).

4.  If your child is vomiting or has diarrhea, they should remain at home until they have had neither vomiting or diarrhea for 24 hours.

Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our schools healthy.
